THE COUNTRY HOUSE

A Singer/Song Writing Competition

Sixteen aspiring singer-songwriters move into The Country House, where they must create, collaborate, and compete under one roof. Amid drama, unexpected twists and the pressure to produce hit songs, only one artist will rise above the chaos to win a life-changing recording contract.

SYNOPSIS

In “The Country House” sixteen contestants compete to create their own original songs, while living under the same roof.  The sixteen aspiring artists will put everything on the line to earn the award of Best Singer-Song Writer.

The show will document the creative process involved in collaborating, composing, arranging, and performing original music. The Country House is a fusion of  “Big Brother”, “Songland”, "Love Island"  and “American Idol”. It will feature a group of musicians living under one roof, competing while navigating unexpected twists, conflicts, drama and the sheer craziness that arises when artists live in close quarters.

The show would filmed 24/7, much like Big Brother and similar reality shows - because inspiration can strike at any moment, even as a dream in the middle of the night.  All the contestants have one thing in common: they need a breakthrough and they have come to the right place.

Each week, America will vote for their favorite song and artist.  The artist with the fewest votes will be eliminated at the beginning of the next show.  Additional conflict will arise as contestants are forced to say goodbye to respected peers and close friends they have bonded with throughout the competition.

His knowledge of how to structure “The Country House” comes from this knowledge and experience on Big Brother. From pre-production to final delivery, Gerry has  all the knowledge necessary to bring the same type of technical and creative knowledge to make “The Country House” a success.

Big Brother has been a ratings champion since the day it first aired and we expect “The Country House” to do the same.  When conceiving  the idea for “The Country House” and being a huge music fan, his years working in music reality TV  (American Idol, America’s Got Talent, The Voice, X Factor)… Gerry realized the one missing ingredient, that  will resonate with fans, is the songwriting. These music reality shows skip the agonizing process songwriting can be, and that is what we will capture in “The Country House” and keep it a long running franchise expanding to other genres such as "The Rock House", "The Pop House" and "The Hip Hop House".
