This is the story of how Christmas was almost ruined for ever when a sinister criminal steals the clock for his own greedy purposes. Santa's magic is tied to the clock and he becomes very sick and starts to age rapidly. The elves must jump into action and save Christmas.
Summary
In the snowy Alaskan mining town, strangers Nigel and Squat enter a bustling tavern where they secretly purchase an old map fragment revealing the way to Santa Claus' castle in the North Pole. Driven by greed, Nigel and Squat set out on a treacherous journey, pursued by the townsfolk they tricked.

The map leads them through hidden passages until they finally arrive at the magical, concealed Christmas Town. At Santa's castle, Santa's head elf Simon and his bustling team of elves are working tirelessly to fulfill children's Christmas wishes. Santa's operation, however, is thrown into chaos when Nigel and Squat infiltrate the castle, steal the magical Christmas Clock, and flee. This clock, which stops time, is essential for Santa to deliver gifts worldwide. Without it, Santa weakens, aging rapidly as he relies on its magic to maintain his vitality and fulfill his mission.
In the city, Nigel uses the clock to execute a spree of robberies, ignorant of the toll this takes on Santa. As Santa’s health declines, Simon gathers a group of brave elves, including his cousin Randy, from the south pole, to track down Nigel and retrieve the clock. They find Nigel’s hideout, where a confrontation ensues. The elves plead with Nigel as to the damage he is doing to Santa, but he doesn’t care. Squat, troubled by the harm they've caused, eventually switches sides, aiding the elves. However, Nigel uses the clock to freeze time, momentarily trapping Squat and the elves. Nigel makes his getaway and once safely far away, unfreezes time. The elves and Squat, finally unfrozen, escape, regrouping at the North Pole to try and save Christmas.

In Santa's Castle, Gibson, the engineer elf, recalls a legend about a second magical clock, hidden somewhere in the castle. The elves search the castle for clues and find a riddle carved into the grand fireplace. Solving a centuries-old riddle etched into the fireplace, Simon and the elves discover a secret corridor, leading them to a room of gadgets and tools. There’s a statue of Gibson’s dad awkwardly alone in the room. Gibson discovers a stopwatch around the statue of Gibson's dad's neck and with a hunch, he clicks the stop watch. The statue comes back to life immediately. Gib the elf was frozen in time centuries ago. Gib and his son are reunited. He explains that the elves created the Magical Stopwatch to counter act the Christmas Clock’s effects in case the clock falls into the wrong hands. He explains how it works and that you must be in the same room in order for it to work.

To retrieve the stolen clock, the elves devise a trap, luring Nigel with a story fake about the world's largest diamond will be on display. At the museum, Nigel attempts to steal the diamond, but is outmaneuvered by Gibson the elf, who uses the stop watch to stop time and seizes the Christmas Clock. When he releases time, a scuffle ensues and Nigel damages the clock beyond repair, throwing Christmas into jeopardy. Undeterred, the elves work tirelessly to piece the clock back together, discovering that the one final piece is missing.

A frantic search yields the missing part, but the clock still won’t work. In a final act of unity, the elves join hands, singing a Christmas song that fills the clock with magic. The restored Christmas Clock revives Santa and freezes time worldwide, allowing Santa’s sleigh to take off, saving Christmas.

The story ends on a comedic note as Nigel, who escaped Santa’s castle, is captured and helplessly hangs off a cliff, pleading with his captors, the town folk that he tricked at the beginning of the story. The joyful North Pole scene celebrates the triumph of Christmas spirit, teamwork, and goodwill.

Ultimately, the story emphasizes themes of redemption, loyalty, and the importance of Christmas spirit over greed, as the elves and Squat work against Nigel to restore Santa’s health and save the holiday.
